These Terms explain how my therapy services work, what you can expect from us, and how I protect your privacy and rights. By using my website or booking sessions, you’re agreeing to these guidelines—I’ve kept them as clear as possible so you feel informed and secure.
Consultation Process: Progress is unique to each client and cannot be predetermined.
Crisis Support: This is not an emergency service. If you’re at risk of harm, contact emergency services or visit A&E.
Website use does not constitute therapy.
Sessions: 50 mins, £50 (reviewed annually with 2 months’ notice for changes).
Payment: Required within 24 hours of booking (or upfront for last-minute bookings). Unpaid slots will be released.
Methods: Bank transfer (details provided at booking).
48+ hours’ notice: No charge.
<48 hours’ notice: Full session fee applies.
Rescheduling: Use the online booking system or email.
Therapist Cancellations: You’ll receive a refund or alternative session.
Client-Led: You may end sessions anytime without explanation.
Therapist-Led: Services may be withdrawn due to professional/personal circumstances or safety concerns (e.g., threats/violence).
Between Sessions: Contact is for scheduling only (no clinical support).
Response Time: Emails answered within 2 working days.
Your privacy is protected, except in these cases:
Explicit consent.
Legal/safeguarding requirements (e.g., risk of harm).
Unpaid fees (after notification).
Recording: Not permitted without written consent.
Public Encounters: Your confidentiality is prioritized—I’ll follow your lead.
Location: Elgin Library or similar public space.
Confidentiality: Public spaces pose inherent risks; we’ll discuss strategies to protect privacy.
Weather: Cancelled only for amber/red MET Office warnings.
Safety: You’re responsible for your physical wellbeing.
Privacy: Ensure you’re in a confidential space with stable internet.
